Substance Abuse Prevention

Building Stronger Futures for Broward Youth

At Archways, we believe prevention starts with connection. Our substance abuse prevention programs give young people the tools, confidence, and support they need to make healthy choices that last a lifetime.

We work in schools and community settings across Broward County to offer fun, engaging, and age-appropriate lessons that build self-esteem, teach decision-making skills, and help youth manage peer pressure and life’s challenges.

What We Offer

01. Positive Action

This dynamic, research-backed program helps students discover the link between positive actions and feeling good about themselves. Through fun activities and discussions, youth learn how to build healthy habits, strengthen relationships, and stay focused on what matters.

02. Botvin LifeSkills Training

LifeSkills is a proven curriculum that teaches young people how to resist peer pressure, cope with stress, and build strong communication and personal skills. Designed for elementary through high school students, this program lays a foundation for lifelong wellness and resilience.

Who We Serve

Our prevention specialists partner with teachers, counselors, and school staff to reach youth from kindergarten through high school. Programs are tailored to each age group to meet kids where they are with messages and strategies that truly connect.

Why Prevention Matters

Substance use can affect a young person’s future in many ways. But with the right support early on, youth are
empowered to stay on a positive path. Our goal is to help every child feel valued, capable, and connected to a brighter future.
